    Unpopular opinion. Abby is the best part of the game

    Laura Bailey gave one hell of a performance.

    Abby goes the full route of antagonist, anti-hero, to hero (who wasn't routing for her in the final act? Especially suffering malnutrition without a weapon. Too brutal to watch.)

    Her contrast and similarities in personality and morality to Ellie is simply flawless. They truly would've made best friends in another life. I love how they were both collectors and just genuine kids who never got to be their true selves due to the world they live in.

    Her redemption arc with Lev and Yara is so wholesome, she definitely repents her sins for killing Joel by saving them.

    Nothing makes me happier than knowing she and Lev find safety in the end by finding the remaining Fireflies.

    Her gameplay alone and fighting style was just so god damn brutal and fun. Going bare fisted against infected is too satisfying! Especially her shiv ability!! Love how that was Joel's in the last game.

    I never understood the hate. She's a wonderful character through and through.

    Missable Conversations In Jackson

    As Jesse is escorting you to the Diner to meet Maria, several small conversations go on around you that are super easy to miss. Just something that adds even more to the details. I'll try to get video recording of them when I get home.

    •Two parents comparing their children, one has an older teen while the other has a child. Generic "just wait until they're older" chat.

    •A couple debating about letting their kid go to the lake, dad's on board but the mother still thinks he's too young and doesn't need to see the outside world yet.

    •3 adult friends, 2 of them are returning to their own town. The guy comments about how they have it made here in Jackson and that he'll miss having electricity. The woman is pretty indifferent, she's just glad to be in a smaller group soon. "Big groups like these make me nervous.."

    •3 adults gossiping about Dina and Ellie. First lady: "I heard there was something going on between them before.." Second lady: "That's why her and Jesse broke up" "there's always been something funny between those two.." The only guy in the conversation: "I mean, that's just how girls are, you're reading into it." And when you walk over to them, one of the girls says "SHH!" and they all look at you. "..oh, hey Ellie!" Ellie just gives them a fuck-you "Morning."

    •2 closeted guys inside the Diner talking about the night before (presuming at the dance, or afterwards) "soo... did you have fun last night?.." "Yeah." "Good... come by my place after your shift" I only assume their closeted by the hushed tone their conversation is in.

    Thinking about RK and other Ground Zero sites.

    OK - we all know that things got REALLY ugly in the Seattle hospital...

    But what about other, larger hospitals?

    Something like Bellevue Hospital Center in New York? Or Bethesda Naval Medical Center?

    Anyone think about what might be lurking in those places? It kinda just hit me that there could be other versions of the RK out there - or something even worse.
