Beginner guitarist here so please be kind. I got a guitar so I could learn different songs from this amazing game and I’m proud of myself for learning this much. Also any tips for playing guitar would be much appreciated!

Said goodbye to my cyberpunk (the art style, not the game) theme and made a TLOU one for my iPhone. Last pictures are the background used and my lockscreen.

    Just finished TLOU2

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 03:02 PM PDT

So first off, spoilers ahead. Secondly I'm writing this on mobile, so I don't know how this will turn out.

Either way, this isn't going to be some huge rant. At least I don't plan it being that. But as the title implies, I just finished Part 2, having played both games back to back. Now before I even began, I was aware people were not too happy with 2. This is why I wrote this post though, because I don't get it. And before I get downvoted to hell, I still prefer the first game. The biggest problem with this game for me was the pacing, mostly in the end, where I thought the game was gonna end like 5 times before it actually did. I haven't read why people dislike the game though, so my eyes may widen after this post where I intend to find out. But if it was Joel, I don't think it ruined the game. It set us up for a huge revenge plot where we got to see both sides of the conflict, and I think the bigger story with the Wolfs and Scars was interesting too. What I kinda liked was that you ultimately didn't get revenge, kind of like how the whole journey in the first game was pointless because of Joel saving Ellie. A reason I maybe liked this game too is that I saw Joel as a bad person after saving Ellie, albeit one I could still sympathize with. At least from my point of view, I could easily understand both sides of the conflict. Especially because revenge doesn't fulfill you, at least according to a lot of other media, thinking mostly games like GTA 4.

I guess in conclusion for this "quick"ramble, I'd say the first game really was great because of the bond between Joel and Ellie, and you cannot replicate that, which means no matter what, this game was destined to "fail". It didn't for me though, it genuinely exceeded my expectations, and I thought it was pretty great. I'll be happy to read people's thoughts when I wake up tomorrow though.

    Thank you for reading :)

Troy Baker HBO show cameo idea [SPOILERS]

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 03:15 AM PDT

Since Jeffrey Pierce (Tommy) has been cast as a different character, and Troy Baker has said once that he would like to play an infected that attacks Joel or something like that and I thought to myself... Wouldn't it be cool if he played the soldier that shoots him and Sarah at the start?

It wouldn't take away from the moment, it would keep him under a mask so his voice is more distinct and isolated rather than an in-your-face character cameo.

    Just a guess idk, thoughts?

2nd playthrough, just discovered that Ellie can climb the T-Rex in the 3 years ago sequence. Its the very first dino, before you even enter the museum.

    …I’d still do it.

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 06:00 PM PDT

Even after playing thru and loving the entire brutal game, I was reflecting on whether I would have the power to overcome my own internal desire to gain revenge if I was put in a similar situation.

And I wouldn't be able to. I saw first hands the horrific consequences that revenge ensues and yet I know that if it came to it, I'd follow that same downward spiral. And I think that's an interesting insight into humanity. I'm sure some others would agree with me. Not that it's right—but that they'd still do it. And that goes to say something about human nature, I think.

What are your thoughts? Anyone on the same page? Completely different?

Personal responsibility and changing the ending.

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 10:18 PM PDT

Since we are often talking about the ending and our personal views on Abby's fate I would like talk about something different. My general view on the ending is that Ellie letting Abby go is extremely important for her own sake and it's really more about accepting Joel's death in the first place. For me it isn't really about Abby's level of guilt/responsibility but also that at this time her death would be pretty much pointless.

But what if we could change the story to one where Abby dies but (most) of her friends get to live instead. Let's say Tommy get's her in his sights on Day 1 and shoots her from half a mile away. Ellie and Dina still get ambushed but learn from Jordan that Abby is already dead. Jordan still dies in their escape and obviously Nick is dead already at this point. But Owen, Mel, Manny and Nora get to live. Now regardless of things would turn out for Team Jackson (or Yara and Lev) in this case would you think that is a more fair outcome for everyone involved?

Edit: To put it more on point: Would you trade Abby's life if it would mean saving 4 of her friends?

    Thought's on this idea?

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 12:55 PM PDT

I had an idea after completing TLOU P2. I'd appreciate any comments and letting me know what you guys think. Basically, you control Lev. you see his story. maybe like a DLC. Where you control him in Santa Barbra with the fireflies, working for them and.. then as in twd style. if you know you know where he would have sort of flashbacks or nightmares of before. when he was in the seraphites and being forced to be who he was not and getting to know how he really felt. then I think it would be neet to lead to the events of the 2nd game, where he shaves his head and you help them escape and you get to the area of where they first meet Abby. then maybe some in the aquarium etc and when he goes back to the island and what exactly happened when he got there etc before Abby and Yara arrive. I think that this will help us know Lev a lot more than we do. I'd say a good length would be maybe the same as left behind or a tiny bit longer. I think what I missed more with this game was an actual DLC. in the first game, of course, we got left behind and got to see how Ellie was first infected.. what she was doing etc which in turn answered our question about that. so I think, a lot of questions could be answered about p2 if we had a DLC. What do you guys think? I've completed the game several times (always scared and pray fast during the rat king lol and I'm always finding myself each play through.. asking myself the same questions about Lev. I ask a lot of questions, that's what I do about games and.. sort of imagine how different things would be in games maybe more than others. thank you for reading this.

    Ellie (TLOU2) v. David

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 08:14 AM PDT

If anyone play the last of us part I, when we play as Ellie, we all must be scare when we fight David, he's really scary even easy to beat him. Same like part II when we play as Abby, Ellie is really scary man. But, if this time Ellie in part 2 vs David, who you think will be a winner

First fight: Ellie just have switchblade and David have his weapon

Second fight: Both have they weapon

Would it bother you if you could kill young NPC in tlou?

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 12:05 PM PDT

in most video games you are not able to kill kids/young teens, it make sense in a commercial stand point, but if you could would it bother you?

I like shocking content(gore/messed up stuff in video games/movies) so IMO it would be cool and more immersive, i dont think it would suit Ellie's character but as a player it wouldn't bother me
