Just picked up TLOU2 and I’ve gotta say, the level of brutality in this game makes me sick to my stomach. Did anyone else experience this?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2021 02:35 PM PST

It may be because I'm new to the series but seriously this is the first game I've ever played that made me set the controller down and take a breath.

The little details the Devs gave to human npc's and the way they scream after killing a friend or desperately begging you not to kill them really hit a nerve with me. That, coupled with the extremely violent deaths you experience as Ellie really caught me off guard.

That being said, I absolutely LOVE the game and see why it won so many awards but damn it makes me feel like a psychopath for enjoying it!

Did anyone else experience this? Also was the first game as brutal??

Does anyone else just love the climate?

Its just, the rain and atmosphere of the game, that dark, gloomy, run down, ghetto, depressing atmosphere is so awesome.

Its just so beautiful and sets the tone of the gsme perfectly, I just can't get over it. Obviously the games amazing looking but it just looks insanely awesome where it really gives you that abandoned, run down gritty feeling of the apocalypse.

Also the abandoned look of broken buildings is just incredible.

Idk, just wanted to appreciate the atmosphere and level design and its so amazing.

I hate to be one of those super analytical fans, but apparently Kaitlyn Dever (a fan favorite pick for Ellie on the TLOU HBO show, which she herself also wants to do) follows Ashley. Think she's just a fan like the rest of us, or is the casting rumor true?
