I've always loved Ellie's "Neopolitan Ice Cream" hoodie from the Fall chapter of TLoU. Wanted to make a lil doodle of it, so I did!

Congratulations to all at Naughty Dog

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 03:09 PM PST

Just wanted to make a congratulatory post in case any member of the team happens to be looking at this subreddit.

You guys made the best game of the 8th console gen, and in return you got bombarded with hate mail from incels riding the hate train 4chan crafted.

I am so happy at how the game has done with the golden Joystick awards, as it was very disheartening to think that this game could potentially be forgotten about by the masses so soon after launch because of the unfounded hate it was receiving.

The masses have spoken, and they have drowned out the voice of the neckbeard Part II haters. Praise be to Naughty Dog. You created a masterpiece.

The salt on the joystick awards is hilarious

The amount of salt the last of us still gathers is hilarious at this point people really need to let it go

First Naughty Dog game to win golden joystick. 2 years ago was Fortnite and TLOU didn't win 2013.

Those who were disappointed with the sequel, what did you honestly expect from a sequel to The Last of Us?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 07:53 PM PST

I feel like a lot of people really don't understand what this game is, and that's a sequel. Obviously there would be some repercussions after the first game's ending.

So please I really really wanna understand the people who were disappointed. I don't mean to undermine your opinion, just tell me what you honestly expected.

Have you seen Ellie's last note in Seattle?

This is Elle's last note in Seattle.

You know when Ellie kills Owen and Mel (cutscene) → Then she looks at Dina in pain at the dressing room (cutscene) → You control Ellie to walk to the stage (manual control) → Ellie talks to Jesse and Tommy (cutscene)

Between these cutscenes, you can control Ellie for a short time. If you run straight to the stage, it takes less than 15 seconds. And that 15 sec is the only chance to read this note. I already platinumed in 3 months ago, but I didn't even know this existed..

(English is not my first language. There might be some grammatical error.)

    Part III: Ellie's Redemption?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 08:38 PM PST

The plot of part I - largely Joel's path to redemption. Plot of part II largely Abby's path to redemption.

If there's a part III (sequel with some of the same characters) wouldn't it have to be largely about Ellie's path to redemption? I know by the end of pt II she starts to forgive and move on from her guilt, yet she never really redeems herself (though refraining from killing Abby was the start of something).

What kind of redemption arc could Ellie have in a part III? Giving herself up for the cure would be an obvious one, but that seems unlikely given how the game has really never been about the cure. Does she rescue Dina? Does she save/raise her own teenager like Joel and Abby did (maybe Lev)? I'm having a hard time thinking of a compelling part III centered around Ellie. Best I can think of is she saves some young kid stranger or Lev.

Part 2 was even better for me the second time round

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 08:35 AM PST

I loved the game when I first played it at release and today I completed it for the second time (new game plus, hard+ difficulty). I found almost every aspect of it to be as good, if not better. I even enjoyed Abby's half of the game a lot more this second time round. Has anyone else felt this way?
