My favourite scene in the whole game (Part II). Ashley Johnson's performance is fantastic, and the song choices are perfect.

This is the moment I truly started loving the character Abby.

I’ve never played the game, but my dad is a huge fan. So, I tried to crochet Joel and Ellie for him! Not perfect by any stretch, but man did I have fun making them

    On steaks and bigots...

Can we acknowledge the bigot sandwiches were steak though? Like that had to be like giving her pure gold in tlou universe. Not excusing his bigotry but I'd have eaten them tbh.

I just finished part 1 and 2 for the first time. I've never experienced or felt how I feel about these games ever in my life and I've been playing since I was a kid. This story feels so genuine and real I loved every moment of it and I can say that these are now my favorite games of all time.

Attention sound effect Last of Us part 1

    Posted: 25 Nov 2020 05:30 PM PST

I'm looking for the sound effect that plays when your attention is drawn somewhere in a level.

You know that deep note followed by the bell like chime. I want that as a ringtone.

Abby sketch by myself (@ashlee.draws.stuff on Instagram). It’s simple but I’m pretty happy with this one.

A neat detail I noticed: It's easier to run with an axe when you are holding it close to the heavy metal, so Ellie shifts her hand up the axe when she runs. It happens twice in this clip.

An ending that brought me to tears...

    Posted: 25 Nov 2020 02:32 AM PST

I just beat Part II for the first time after already knowing the main plot points people wouldn't stop spoiling online. Even with that knowledge it was a powerful experience.

Ellie is one of the best game characters ever written. Her journey in this game is harrowing and one of the most mature I have seen in gaming since beating Red Dead Redemption II. The ending drives this point home by making her realize what she has become without it becoming cheesy. I was blown away by how much the game trusts you to believe in what is happening on screen.

I found myself moved by Joel and Ellie's last conversation. Both Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson deliver some of the best performances of their careers. I really hope Ashley wins all the awards coming her way. It's a testament to the writing, direction, and her skills as a performer. I also cannot believe I actually didn't want to hurt Abby in the end. It was such a dichotomy. Of course you resent her for what she has done, yet now that you know her, you can't help but feel that what Ellie is doing is wrong. Abby is another character I was surprised by. I think her side of the story mirroring Ellie's was a great way to drive the point home and her story converging with Ellie's in the end feels earned.

All in all I am very satisfied. This is an incredible technical achievement with some of the best storytelling any game has to offer. I do have some gripes but I don't think they ruin an otherwise emotionally invested experience.

TLOU setting for a D&D campaign?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2020 07:28 PM PST

Hey all, I'm fairly new to the series. I play Dungeons and Dragons a lot and I thought it would be really interesting to have a modern-ish campaign, the setting being the game world of TLOU. However, as far as materials, stats, or potential story, I've got nothing.

Does anyone know if something like this exists? or good places to look. Just something to get the idea ball rolling, really.

Thanks! May your survival be long

I've never played TLOU and I've owned every PS

    Posted: 25 Nov 2020 05:13 PM PST

Yes, it's true I've never played TLOU games even though I've owned the PS3, PS4 and PS5 now. I see on the PS5 there is a PS Collection and I can get access to it for £24 using my US Account if I buy and redeem a key. I know Joel dies is the only thing from the second game as it was talked about so much. Are both the games masterpieces like people say they are? Like I've played Uncharted 1-4. I skipped a bit on PS4 becauseI got a gaming PC in 2016 but seeing PS5 has backwards gen compatibility, I am thinking of getting games I missed out on, so I know this part isn't related to TLOU but can some of you guys give PS4 games that are exclusive recommendations, it would be much appreciated. :)

I'm completely blind and currently doing a hard run through the game. This is my proudest moment yet. I love this game.
