    Today it's about 50 days till the new release date, while it was 57 days to May 29th when the game was indefinitely delayed. We're getting closer, guys!

    Had a part of the game spoiled for me so I went on to Naughty Dog's Twitter to see if they responded to the leaks.

    And the entire comment section was just people absolutely shitting on the game. I mean not a single person was praising the game or was sad it was leaked. Everybody was happy it was leaked and that they saved their money. Some even going as far as to canceling their preorders.

    So curiosity got the better of me and I checked just to see what was up with the insane hate. After reading the spoilers, it's literally just a plot on paper. That is it. Just important plot points presented out of context. Any game or movie will look bad if you only read the main points of the plot with little to no context.

    Kratos climbs a mountain along with his son for 20 hours to scatter his wife's ashes.

    Hell,even the original last of us had a somewhat predictable story. But it was the bond & character development between Joel & Ellie that made the game what it is. Something that the plot written on paper would've never highlighted.

    To me it looks like majority of the people are pissed because "SJW in my vidya games" rather than anything else and others are joining in on the bandwagon.

    I'm still gonna do what I would've done if I wasn't spoiled, i.e, wait for reviews and then make a decision. But it sucks that I ruined the game for myself because I'm too stupid to think.

    A few years ago, A day before launch of Uncharted 4 (something i was looking forward to for years then) got a message about Sam and Alcazar and the epilogue. A Spoiler, someone just DM'd me to ruin my experience but what they didn't know was I had thought about this game for a long ass time. I had imagined every scenario i could or anyone else informed me about BUT those didn't mean shit because without context, without the experience/gameplay, without the journey, The Beginnings and Endings, They don't hit you in the heart.

    Next few days i played through the game and it was more than what I imagined or thought it could be. It still is, years later too.

    We've read hundreds and thousands of theories and discussed places Part II could go. We've imagined those scenarios (now read or seen in spoilers) but without context, without the experience/gameplay, without that journey. They don't have that impact. They don't hit you in the heart (I always read this in Shia Labeouf's voice for best outcome)

    Spoilers didn't ruin Uncharted 4, Fucking isn't gonna ruin Part II for me.

    To assholes trying to ruin it for The Last of Us. Bitch!I'm gonna be the judge. I'll decide if this game is Good or Mediocre or Bad. Neil/Naughty Dogs/Playstation don't owe ME shit. I choose to invest my time in this. I'm thankful i did AND I'll see it through to the end.

    Everywhere you look, someone is posting images or typing the spoilers. It blows my mind how many assholes are out there trying to ruin it for fans.

    I don't enjoy avengers, for whatever reason, and I looked up the ending when it was leaked. I would never have thought to spoil it for anyone, I would receive absolutely no pleasure in spoiling something like that for people.

    Do these people not realize that half a decade of hard work went into this game? That the game has millions of fans that care deeply about the story. I can only assume they didn't think the whole thing through before mindlessly posting the spoilers.

    I guess I'm just disappointed in humanity a bit right now. I'm actually more sad for Niel and the than I am for myself. It just sucks. The biggest leak of all time, and it had to be the last of us...

    I know it shouldn't bother me but seeing constant hate hurts. I know that it shouldn't affect my personal experience, but it does. It seems like people were just waiting for this to happen. I don't know. I hope that people realize how misleading the plot summary is and that it isn't accurate to the game. I hope that it isn't always remembered this way.

    I was taking every precaution. Muted words on twitter, deleted Last of Us content off of YouTube watch history. Didn't matter because some asshole put a screenshot of a MAJOR spoiler in the comment section of some completely unrelated IGN tweet.

    I'm so fucking pissed off. Been a fan since the initial reveal of the franchise back in 2011.

    People are such assholes.

    So I urge you guys, be EVEN more careful then you think you ought to be.

    people missing out on the gameplay because they jumping on the hate train or loosing insterest is the biggest mistake. My jaw was on the fucking floor when the E3 gameplay demo was first released

    **** the lakers and the haters, the gameplay ALONE looks like its going to be worth it and nothing compares to when you play the WHOLE FREAKING game from start to finish with the story and gameplay TOGETHER.

    Would you read the script of your favorite movie too and thats it? or maybe experience it with sound, with acting, with cinematography with details .

    The game is not just words and cutscene snipetts presented in shitty quality on a s**hole leak site.

    We can't review a story before it's been told. This all may go without saying, but with all the vitriol and sadness I see in the TLOU community, I'm feeling the urge to "look for the light" and spread some encouragement.

    I haven't seen the original leaked video, nor read the spoiled plot points, but I took the plunge and looked at the reddit profile of one of the assholes spreading/messaging spoilers. One of their comments said an event happens "early in the game" and another said the same event happens "at the end." Totally contradictory. So even if we know something will happen, we don't know when. I also feel a lot of these leakers and haters have an... agenda (to use their own word) and may hyperbolize events and take them out of context.

    So I take the leaks with heavy skepticism, and remind myself that good stories can sound bad as oversimplified bullet points. I have no doubt this game will still surprise and delight us. 51 days.

    What happened is terrible to everyone working at ND, working super hard on something for it only to be taken out of context and called trash. But the hate towards Neil is just radical. People are blaming him for the crunch at ND, like if that was his fault. He's the creative director, just because he's the one that talks more about doesn't mean he's the responsible for what's going on on ND. Not saying he doesn't have any fault in it, but what's true is that blaming Neil for this is inhumane.     The amount of people on here doing their part to cheer up those who have been spoiled and keeping the players who are in doubt optimistic is insane. I have not yet been spoiled, but I have felt in doubt after seeing the hate train thats going around, but not anymore. Its thanks to all of you who are doing their part in keeping this community hyped up and excited for the journey that awaits. We'll get through this together.
