So TLOU2 is going to be the longest naughty dog game ever, right? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 12:05 PM PDT I've read that the game is going to be 25-30 hours long, now that's damn long for a linear game. Both uncharted 4 and the last of us 1 took me around 12-14 hours to complete, TLOU2 is practically double or even more than double in length. That's extremely exciting, more environments to explore and play in and more story arcs. Damn I'm hyped... [link] [comments]

Joel in The Last of Us part 2. Posted: 25 Apr 2020 10:00 PM PDT Do you think, after everything that happened at the hospital, that Joel would admit it to someone? Maybe Tommy? Let him in on his secret, basically asking time to allow him a second chance at father hood? Do you think Tommy would go along with something like this? Or would Joel keep everything an absolute secret? I could see it eating away at him, I'm so excited for all these avenues that they can explore! [link] [comments]

What if Part 2 picks up right where we last saw Joel and Sarah? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 02:06 PM PDT I know Naughty Dog said we'd only play as Ellie, but we can say that's likely just to keep *something* a surprise for us, right? When I saw Kopfstoff's most recent drawing, I realized how intense of a moment that would be to experience. It would further flesh out Joel's trauma in the most shocking way possible -- this man, forced to carry his daughter's body, and with hardly any time at all to process such a pivotal moment in his life. Plus it would be perfect in giving us a better understanding of Joel's desperate attachment to Ellie; if Part 2, as we can assume, really goes deep in exploring the emotional risks of loving relationships in such a dangerous setting, nothing will exemplify that better than the dichotomy between Joel's most painful moment and the fragile peace he supposedly finds in living in Jackson with Ellie. Not to mention, it would be sick to see Troy Baker pull off the acting required for such a scene. Anyways, not to sound like a sadist or something -- I just think it'd be cool. Hype Thread. What are you most excited to see in Last of Us 2? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 04:13 PM PDT Idk why this sub got insanely toxic after a perfectly reasonable delay but I'm still hyped as hell for this game. Instead of whining about not getting it at the originally scheduled date let's talk about what we're hyped to see in the new game. For me personally I'm really excited to what the current gen hardware and more vertical level design brings to the table. We already know that the story, music, and visuals will be stunning but I'm really excited to see how they take the core gameplay and expand/refine it. The levels from the demos look really interesting! [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Apr 2020 02:54 PM PDT Let's say a delay of Ghost is on the verge of being announced, when could we expect the announcement, exactly? 2-3 weeks? 4 tops? Sony and ND can post tattoos all they want, but theres no way they will remain silent if Tsushima doesn't get delayed. They have to either announce the new date or face sever backlash. It's a matter of time and could be on these couple weeks right? What do ya'll think? [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Apr 2020 06:35 PM PDT I have been trying to wrap my head around the topic of vaccine development within the world established by the Last of Us. I'm not really interested in the whole did Joel do the right thing or not, or whether the Fireflies are trustworthy or capable of distributing it. I am really just perplexed about the alleged need to kill the host in order to properly extricate a specimen. The surgeon's recording itself states that a simple blood culture grows cordyceps in fungal media. Seems to me like this would be all you need to start developing a vaccine since you'd likely grow whatever strain Ellie got infected with. Seems to me like a simple experiment of taking these cordyceps and innoculating a few lab rats or lab monkeys (since it seems that the virus can infect and affect monkeys?) would be a first step to take before even deciding to straight up take whatever fungus is currently in Ellie's skull. If anyone out there has additional info I may have missed or some more science oriented explanations for the need to extract the fungus from Ellie's brain (with full acknolwdgement that this is a videogame, I mean nobody should have survived being impaled with a likely dirty rod). I ask simply because it is fascinating to have such a thought experiment where a real life fungus could mutate to the point to actually infect a person. I also very much liked the explanations made by Roanoke Gaming on youtube regarding the stages of infection from Runners to Bloaters. These videos made the whole plausibility of the game that much more acceptable and real. Anyhoo, love the game regardless and can't wait for the second one to come out. [link] [comments]
I realized how much Naughty Dog spoiled us... Posted: 25 Apr 2020 08:35 PM PDT 2007 Uncharted Drake's Fortune 2009 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 2011 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception 2013 Last of Us 2016 Uncharted 4: A Thief's End 2020: Hopefully The Last of Us Part Two Every two years we had a ND masterpiece to play from 2007-2013. 6 years! Even though there was a 3 year gap between LOU and Uncharted 4, the announcement trailer came out in 2014 for Un 4. Not a long wait. And they showed a lot of gameplay in between the announcement and when the game was released. My point is, ND spoiled us, which makes this long wait for LOU Part Two seem sooooo long on top of this potential 4 and a half year plus wait. Only thing I would change is that I wish they didn't release the announcement trailer in 2016... why do that? They were making Lost Legacy. Didn't need anymore excitement. Should have waited till end of 2017/e3 2018 or something. [link] [comments] |
