    Hello everyone! You've probably seen by now that we were looking for extra moderators for the subreddit, as we will inevitably be overrun and gruesomely killed when pt2 launches.

    All of you submitted many great applications, and it was wonderful seeing so many passionate community members eager to take part in making this place even better and more welcoming! Regrettably, due to an incident involving a potted plant, a lobotomy, and 25 cans of bacon, we lost all the good applications and had to resort to the "ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HIRE" pile.

    So welcome your new Civil Protection officers community moderators! /u/Ardwinna_Mel, /u/TacoSwimmer, and Jay (I can't remember his bloody username)!

    Here's hoping these beautiful people can keep this place spoiler-free and welcoming for the coming months, joining the rest of us hard-working unpaid mall cops and Juhi. Cause otherwise we're gonna have to mod Kastat, and you know that's gonna be ugly.

    So, that's all I guess. This will hopefully make everything go more smoothly leading to the release of the long-awaited sequel to the second-best game of all time (after Outer Wilds), The Last of Us Pt2!

    Things you might’ve missed in tlou2 gameplay (third times a charm!)

    •You can now quick turn with a hostage in your arms

    • the smoke bomb may be returning for the sequel

    •even little thing like and explosive arrow cost scrap

    • there's a little circle in the bubble next to your health this circle will get bigger the more noticeable you are so if your prone the bubble is barely visible but remember your never truly invisible!

    •scrap seems easier to find in part 2 than In the first game

    •if an enemies melee weapon is bigger than yours then they can block some of your attacks

    • weston's pharmacy is returning in the sequel

    • the trap mine isn't the only new explosive in the sequel

    •Ellie will be able to upgrade; weapon sway while moving, her speed while aiming, listen mode distance, prone movement speed, and even more!

    • 1 weapon upgrade can upgrade multiple attributes! For example clip capacity will upgrade the amount of ammo and fire rate at the same time

    I had a hard time figuring out whether joel did the right thing in the end or not, but i figured at the end of the day even if they did get the cure from ellie, it wouldn't of mattered. the world most likely could never go back to normal , and getting the vaccine to EVERYONE in the world is more trouble than it's worth.

    First Play-through

    Just finished my first full play-through (I guess quarantine gave me some inspiration) and thought of no other place to go but here. It took me two days to finish and it is without a doubt the greatest game I've ever played. The way it plays with you and messes with your expectations in such sudden and unexpected ways makes it an incredible emotional thrill-ride from start to finish.

    I'd say some of my favorite moments were Tess's and Sam and Henry's deaths, proving that the world you play in is brutal and unforgiving, and that the game is not afraid to hurt the player emotionally, and, of course, the final scene, playing into Joel's desire for a daughter-like figure and his inability to face pain and loss that he is willing to sacrifice the entire human race so he can keep Ellie for himself.

    I can't believe I won't be able to relive the experience of playing this game for the first time again but nevertheless I'm excited for Part 2 and what the future holds!

    Has anybody experienced any lesser-known, small details in this game?

    As I was going through Pittsburgh I looked up and noticed that the clouds were moving. Like actually, gently moving! I really appreciate the hard work ND put into this game and I'm super excited for Part 2. Anyway, has anybody else stumbled upon small details like that?
