Joel slamming a bloater's head into the edge of the supplies in grounded mode is top tier badass.

    Playing as Ellie.

Am I the only one who prefers playing as Ellie over Joel? Her knife would have come in soooo handy in certain parts of the game where I only had a few Shivs

    Henry and Sam

    Posted: 09 Feb 2020 02:45 PM PST

I wish Henry and Sam made it to Wyoming. Every time I start the fall chapter, I can't help but wonder what it'll be like if Henry and Sam made it. I feel like they would've stayed in Tommy's settlement instead of going ahead to look for the Fireflies. Henry cared more about Sam's well being than anything so maybe if he saw how safe and family orientated Tommy's settlement was, he would've just given up on his plan.

It would've been great to see how they age in Part II. Sam would've been able to grow and fight on his own since it was a safe place to train, maybe help out in the beginning like Tess did. Henry could finally relax and maybe even find someone to settle with.I think they had an interesting story and it's a bummer that we'll never see how it plays out with them.

Since we're on the topic, did Ellie and Joel bury them? I thought they did but when they get to the dam there's a little memorial site and Joel mentions that it's too small of a grave. So what is that site? And why is it just a memorial (or grave) for Sam? I'm assuming it's for Sam since Ellie mentions that she forgot to place the toy there. Can someone clear this up for me lol

Could The Last of Us Part II's story be better than the first games story?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2020 12:25 AM PST

We all love the story of The Last of us. Naughty Dog's The Last of Us ended the last generation of consoles with arguably its greatest game. It took seven years' worth of gaming's best and brightest mechanics and refined them into a master class of storytelling and gameplay. Almost three years on from its first PS3 release, it's also the best game available on PS4, in its Remastered guise. With the most nerdy, saccharine adoration I can conjure. Could Part II's story be better than the first game, if you think so why?

Difference between the quality of the 2018 E3 gameplay trailer and the release date reveal trailer footage and the quality of the media event demo footage.

    Posted: 09 Feb 2020 02:59 PM PST

The footage of the gameplay trailer from E3 2018 and the most recent story trailer has the best visuals in any game that ever came out. The detailed enviorments, great lighting, and especially, the animations. The animations shown in those trailers are a few levels above Uncharted 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2, which IMO have the best animation system among current games.

The way the characters blends from one animation to another so seemlessly, how everything is interacting with the enviorment in an accurate way, the accurate hit animations from both enemies and ellie and the awsome blood effects make this look so good, and that to me makes this game, based of the footage we have seen from those two trailers, by far the most impressive looking ever made.

The thing is, the sheer awsomeness shown in those trailer seem to decrease in the footage shared from the media event, where game journalists played a 2-3 hours demo of the game. in this footage, while the game still looks phenomenal, it doesn't look as amazing as the footage from the trailers mentioned above. Suddenly there is a noticeable delta in the transitions between some of the animations. The enviorments seem to have less detail and has some low textures here and there, and the lighting doesn't look as good, especially when it scatters on the character model's skin.

I hope that the final game will deliver the visuals of the E3 gameplay trailer and the release date reveal trailer, and what we have seen from the media event footage. Maybe that was the cause for tge delay - Naughty Dog wanted to deliver the best experience they can deliver like they have shown in those two trailers, and they weren't quite there. Maybe the delay enabled them to reach the high peaks that were shown to us, and deliver the best gaming experience ever made. I don't know. We'll need to wait for the release and see. For now, all I know is that I fully trust Naughty Dog, and I am sure that they could reach those high peaks.

    Grounded speedrun questions

I'm watching this Grounded world record videos on YT, and he's one shotting everything using bows and the revolver even when it's a bodyshot. How is this possible?

The game doesn't outright tell you everything there is to know about throwable objects. This video has completely reshaped how I play

Anybody else worried about how part 2 will run?

    Posted: 09 Feb 2020 12:13 PM PST

About a week ago I was extremely excited after preordering the collectors edition even though I have to wait a while. I'm more worried about now though because of recent experiences with PS4 pro(s). When the game comes out, I'm gonna be playing it for hours. That's a given. My brand new PS4 pro can't even get past the loading screen on Modern Warfare without overheating. This makes me kinda nervous about running Part 2 because I've heard it will be an intense game for a PS4 to run. Anybody else kinda worried about this?

    Digital Deluxe Edition Question

    Posted: 09 Feb 2020 11:34 AM PST

Is the theme that comes with the Digital Deluxe Edition different from the Ellie dynamic theme that was released recently? Does anyone have a picture of the Digital Deluxe theme if it is a different theme? Thanks!
