The Last of Us means a lot to me because after playing the game, I found r/TheLastofUs, which is my favorite subreddit and is run by the best mods ever (but especially u/-anne-marie- because she is the coolest one.)

Please note that due to shipping limitations, this contest is only open to users in the following countries:

    US

    Canada (excluding Quebec)

    UK

    Germany

    France

This game has set a new bar...

    Posted: 07 Jun 2021 09:48 AM PDT

So I finished "The Last of Us" series just around a week ago now and I haven't stopped thinking about it since (seriously I think about it when I'm chilling at home, working, exercise, eating w/e it pops in my head every hour or so) I think a lot about fan theories but mostly trying to decide how good this game is to me. I need a place to put my thoughts down and put them into words, so I'm gonna try it now.

Earlier in 2020 I played a game called "Ghost of Tsushima" and I walked away saying to myself, "every single game I play from now on, when it comes to gameplay/combat I'm gonna think, was it as good as Ghost of Tsushima?" a new bar had been set for me when it comes to gameplay.

And that's how I feel about "The Last of Us" 1 and 2 when it comes to the story. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to overlook the combat, it's absolutely fantastic but we can all agree this game is known for its story. A story that literally took me through a wave of emotions that I didn't think was possible for me to feel in a fictional story. Only LIFE itself has taken me through such emotions.

It's up and down, left and right.

    You're sad, happy, and angry.

It breaks your heart and then tries to mend it again throughout the rest of the game.

Long story short it f***s the shit out of your mind.

So like with "Ghost of Tsushima" and the new "bar" it set for gameplay, the same goes for "The Last of Us" and its story, every time I finish a game, or even watch a tv show/movie/anime, I'll say to myself "was that as good as The Last of Us?"

Ever since 2013 I kept hearing about "The Last of Us", and how unbelievably good it was. I put this game on my "list" but kept holding it off.

I'm grateful that I finally got to it and learned about this, mind-blowing world. But damn, what an idiot I was, for holding it off for that long.

    So yeah... I'm done lol.

Needed a release for these thoughts.

Lemme know how you guys rate this game too, below.
