It'd be cool if in TLOU3 NPCs ran out of ammo and changed their playstyle accordingly Posted: 13 Jun 2021 06:53 AM PDT I know you need to suspend your disbelief somewhat in this game (don't eat 20 year old chocolate bars you find in abandoned vending machines, you'll die) but having NPCs fire 20 bullets at you for you to kill them and loot them and getting 2 starbursts + a note saying 'fuck you, start throwing bricks' is a bit troll. It'd be cool if NPCs played differently in each state to change up gameplay is all, especially for replayers. [link] [comments]
Giving the NPCs names when you kill them was such a nice detail. Posted: 13 Jun 2021 11:48 PM PDT Forgive my incessant ranting I'm just so in love with this game and I need to spread some appreciation for this detail. In TLOU2, I absolutely love how such a small detail of giving the NPCs names makes their deaths feel more personal, and gives your enemies depth. In the first game, whenever you killed an NPC, none of their group would really react other than being on high alert to look for you. But in the second game, whenever you kill someone, one of the members of their groups will be shocked/upset/sad and call out their name. I think it was such a nice touch and I am just still in awe of the beautiful details of this game. Everything about it is so amazing to me. I genuinely feel bad sometimes when I shoot one of them in the face and their friend calls out for them. It's emotional and kind of snaps you out of the badass killing machine mode. For me, it just made me feel like "oh damn that was a person. Like a REAL person. They had a life and everything and now I've just killed them and I'm about to kill their friends too :( ". Sorry if this has already been posted about! I just got excited and wanted to share haha [link] [comments]
Orphans are NOT morally inferior by default. Posted: 13 Jun 2021 11:05 AM PDT I have seen a type of argument pop up repeatedly over the last weeks and it's just a total mess. Honestly it's such a mind-boggling stupid take because if we take that to it's logical conclusion then it would mean you trying to get revenge for your husband/wife would make you also morally inferior by default since you are not "really" related and have only known each other for x years. Long story short we don't try to assign a worth to human relationsships for a reason. [link] [comments]

Posted: 13 Jun 2021 06:44 PM PDT One of the things i found interest in The Last Of Us Part ll is How Ellie Admits that Joel Saved her during her Talk with Abby when she had tommy under her and pointing a gun, She knew and even said he did what he had to do to save its my fault, I guess one of the reasons she also got mad at Joel is because of survivors guilt she keeps getting saved, her Inmunity saved her but her friend/Love interest died when they both agreed to go crazy together and then Joel Comes and saves her, Stealing her Gifts meaning and she lives yeah but still with that survivors guilt, but Joel has saved her lots of time, and probably the most emotional is the last memory, when shes about to kill abby, Joel Saves her Emotionally, That Last Memory and Talk with Joel saves her, since if she could start to open up with Joel Again, ( Although She started to forgive Joel, since he loves him for whats hes done but Hates him so Stealing her life meaning, But she starts to fogive him, because yeah she just needed to let her heart heal, and Joel after all gave her space after that, of course he harrased jesse, but its a parent thing so yeah he never pushed her to forgive him, nor something Joel did that made ellie open up again she just needed time to cool off, since it was a serious thing in other words her meaning) so why not let abby go? And once she realizes the damage thats been done by letting abby live she manages to saver her soul, ( because of Joels Last Talk so he kinds of her saves Ellie through their Last Memory ) my point is, Ellie is always being saved, Riley, Inmunity, Joel, Tess, Henry when he swapped with Joel, Jesse, dina, Tommy when she killed mel , he kinds of saves her from her emotional attack after she realizes what she did, saved her from that scene being a good uncle and all, until ranch scene still sad, Lev from abby when she was about to kill dina and prob ellie too, what a character she is. Since in this world theres no happy endings and thus ellie keeps getting saved I also want to say, That Joel is the Most Human Like Character we Know, whether you take his decisión to save her selfish, heroic, terrific, badass, its one special decisión because its a Human Like decision, Theres always been the rule of the more must survive while the less shall be sacrificed for their good type i dont know if thats how its spelled, when Sarah dies, que its because of that rule since those 2 ( Sarah and Joel) the soldier didnt know if they were infected, so he took the order despite wanting to help them, so Joel breaks it by Rescuing Ellie, since it is after Animal instinct to act wild when the baby animals Life is in danger, it was righteous anger, since he was justifed, Of course at the end he knew that its what she wanted when he hears marlene says it, selfish yeah, ( but all parents like that, yknow, look at your parents and youll see some of their decisions with family are selfish ), but we know this fatherly like decision, selfish, Heroic, and most of all Human Decision is because Joel Wants Ellie to have a meaningful life, since he didnt have faith in humanity and the cure, but were all selfish, ellie being selfless? Nah thats just her wanting to get survivors guilt out of her mind, selfish in a way in tlou 2 since in Part 1 she didnt expect to die lol, she had plans with Papa Joel ( P.S. fireflies were so unproffesional, one got bit by test monkey, They shot at Joel with him carrying ellie (didnt they want her?), they hit Joel when he was doing cpr to Ellie, Etc, and the fact they didnt eveb waked ellie up and wanted to take her Life without her consent is murder, sure they got it right with her decision of she would lay her life, but they didnt know so they just said, yeah its what she want just so it didnt affect them lie Jerry, hate that Guy lol, dont hate abby but i dont lover her that much, little bit of affection since we know shes like Joel and Lev like ellie thats what ellie saw in Abby and Lev ) Thats all, hope you guys give Your thoughts [link] [comments]
