Anyone else have a deep love for Abby? Why/why not?

I honestly hated her at the beginning, but getting to know her story was compelling. And I just fell in love with her at the end when she tells Ellie that she won't fight her. Right in the feels.

Abby's story basically proves that Joel made the right choice!

Unpopular opinion here most of people think opposite ,

People who played Abby's story and still saying after her arc that Joel made the wrong choice or Ellie should have died for vaccine are completely misunderstood story.

We can see that Abby helping lev to cover up her guilt , same with Joel actually more than that Ellie is literally parallel to his daughter who died at very young age.

Abby helping Lev , helping her Sister also Yara helping Lev to keep safe from seraphites(a cult who didn't hesitate to marry kid to his elders and torture them) and also Lev's mom are pretty violent in nature , by inspiring struggle of Lev and after getting saved by him , Abby decided to destroy relationship with WLF and also destroying in Seraphites whomever come to her way , Abby did all of this at the end of the game to protect Lev

Joel basically helping Ellie escort so he could earn something at first , but later seeing that Ellie didn't have anyone in her life , no blood relatives , Fireflies( a group who didn't hesitate to kill kids for greater good or some middle way in, justifying their leadership failures on a kid's death) and Marlene wanted to escort Ellie, none of the characters other Joel was looking after Ellie that what she wants what's her concerns , everybody just wanted to do fullfil their goals via using Ellie ,Joel who are heavily connected to Ellie ,who she saved from certain death, Joel also did all of this to protect , Ellie who was unjustified death for vaccine ,Joel saved her

So Seraphites are bad people for torturing kids but Fireflies are good people for killing kids?

If you most people have noticed that things are repeating Abby saying and protecting Lev from Issac saying "hes just a kid"

Didn't Ellie was a kid when fireflies and Jerry decided to kill her

For people who think Joel is monster and Ellie should have died for vaccine,

If you guys feel proud while saving Lev and while saying "you are my people" while playing Abby's story agreeing with all of that

But then explain me how Joel is wrong in protecting Ellie and saving from death?

Ellie's pov covers up her guilt so she himself treating him like that , while Abby is pretty anti-Joel because he killed her father that's it she just wanted him dead because she was refused to see any better quality in Joel.

By following Ellie and Abby's character motivation , behaving that Joel is completely monster who doomed humanity

Have third person pov of story and notice parallels and then say that Abby was justifying in protecting Lev but Joel was not justifying in protecting Ellie ,and you will get your answer in it.

Playing Part 1 for the second time...

    Posted: 12 Jun 2021 01:29 PM PDT

Played it a few years ago and just loved it. Played Part 2 as soon as it came out and while I really enjoyed Part 2, I missed the characters and character development from 1. Now that I am playing again, I really feel the difference in character development between the two. I just find myself caring about the characters in Part 1, however brief they're around, way more than I did for pretty much anyone in Part 2...

Anyone else find the characters of 1 just all around more impactful and compelling and fleshed out?

Eta: I really liked Abbey and Lev, they had a beautiful relationship and it felt natural and special. But the first one seemed to capture most characters you come by in a way that 2 just couldn't pull off.
