I absolutely love both of the last of us games. I played the first one about a year ago and had a blast with it! I'm about halfway through the second game and I gotta admit, I am IMPRESSED with the amount of detail and ground-breaking mechanics put into it. The game did not deserve the hate it got when It first released. Thank you to the devs of the series, you guys have a special place in my heart for creating such an artistic masterpiece.

In my latest playthrough I decided to switch over to Left Behind just after Joel gets injured and it worked surprisingly well! It transitions pretty smoothly into playing as Ellie in the mall searching for medical supplies, plus with the interspersed flashbacks with Riley - who of course will be mentioned later at the end of the main game. It almost felt like a little interlude which ultimately adds context to that final conversation.

I also got some TLOU2 vibes in the sense that a major cliffhanger (Joel getting rebar'd) is interrupted by a multi hour flashback playing as another character.

Anyways I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!
