I can't stop thinking about this game.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 07:07 PM PDT

My opinion on this game has changed so many times from when I first played it. I went from being completely shocked with the story they chose, to despising it, to starting to understand the choices. And after 2 months of replays, reading discussions/watching video essays, i'm starting to feel that part 2 is a near perfect sequel. Every narrative choice in this game ties back to the first one and is true to the world of the last of us. It wouldn't have made sense if Joel never had any consequences from his choices in part 1. His death in my opinion was completely earned. And when playing it all the way through to the end, you understand why Ellie was so set on killing Abby. She took away her chance at ever forgiving Joel.

And I don't understand when people say that they just threw away Joel's character. The entire game is about Joel's lie and how Ellie deals with it, and ultimately forgives him for it.

These are just some of my thoughts on the game. I think it 100% did justice to part 1. Kudos to Naughty Dog for delivering such an amazing experience.

"Misery Porn," they said. What about warmness, love and hope?

Never thought I would buy a Collector’s Edition of anything but here we are. (My mom was not happy to see this)

Nice little detail : In this sequence, Joel is searching for resources like we used to do in the first game

Finally finished TLOUII. One particular quote that came to mind comes from the Dark Knight: “You thought we could be decent men, in an indecent time.” Great game. Thank you Naughty Dog.

    I was 12 when I completed LOU1 and I was 20 when I completed LOU2

Multiple things have occurred since I first was given my pre-ordered Last of us copy by my mother when I was 12 years old. Through any emotional struggle I suffered, I continued with playing the Last of us. In purchasing the Last of us 2, I was freighted with uncertainty - would this be as good and fulfilling as the previous instalment? LOU2 was extremely profound, a punishing and equally meaningful game; I will never love nor be saddened by a piece of art for the remainder of my life.
