    First off I understand that there are many factors in play here, problems and issues we don't know about and probably will never know about, but these leaks are MAJOR MAJOR stuff, and it's not just like okay it got out a little early just keep your head down for a week or so, this is just like almost 2 months of constantly looking over your shoulder, I have no idea how I'm going to keep this up till June 19.

    Where are all the ads? It's almost a month away and I have yet to see a single ad or trailer or anything. Is it because people will post spoilers in the comments?

    In other big games that I've been anticipating I've seen an unholy barrage of ads for the game a couple months before it comes out. Even Death Stranding--which was so mysterious an secretive--had two new trailers coming out right before it was released and a bunch of remixes and stuff. If I wasn't a fan and watching gaming channels, I would have no idea this game existed. I hope we get a release trailer or some other promotional material. I guess only the mods can answer why there is no advertising since there's a lockdown.

    r/thelastofus2 is the saddest subreddit i have ever seen

    Just scrolled through it, it's the same 50 people posting and commenting in every post, saying the same exact thing, being sexist and homophobic. its genuinely disappointing, but at the same time quite humorous how tiny their subreddit is and how big they think they are. But ya know what really really irks me? every single post i saw on there (about 15 before my head started hurting) is proven to be false information. they are crying and being hateful to something that doesn't even exist. i cannot wait for 6/19 so this game will have its shot to shut them up. anyways, rant over.

    Recent findings from ND confirm that the leakers (yes, plural) are NOT affiliated with the company. That means the people who leaked the game’s story are just flat-out assholes, and in my opinion, are completely open to getting sued by ND for destroying the game’s marketing.

    On TOP of that, we have reports from Jason Schrier, the same guy who uncovered Anthem's development process, that state ND's developers were likely given a large raise for working under COVID-19.

    We all know that r/TheLastOfUs2 is a subreddit to avoid due to its rampant spoilers and hatred and homophobia. I don't condone what's going on in that sub, nor do I agree with any of it. I simply feel that it's important that we understand how we got to where we are.

    The sub only has two moderators, neither of whom have done anything to enforce their subreddit rules in a very, very long time. One of the sub's moderators hasn't been active for three years, while the other appears to have been simply neglecting their responsibility as a moderator.

    Without moderation and an apparently already active user base, it's apparent why it became what we know it as. It was somewhere safe that people could vent their frustrations with the game, even before the leaks happened. However, as the leaks began to paint a picture that they didn't like and couldn't express here, an already active subreddit with very little moderation became a very attractive option.

    Once people starting to post their quarrels with the game, the subreddit became an echo chamber. It is the perfect demonstration of the psychological concept of group think, which states that being in a group of like minded people will only amplify your own and everyone else's opinions.

    Small grievances are becoming huge issues in their eyes. They see these issues and choose to respond in increasing severity, eventually leading them to the conclusion that if they can't be happy with the game, then nobody should be able to.

    So sitting on my shelf is a bottle of 1990 scotch, I've been saving it for along tome now. In June 19th when the opening credits of part 2 come across the screen I'm going to drink to this Reddit. To the die hard fans that still stand being this game after all the controversy and leaks. This game is for us, enjoy it smile and sit back and enjoy.
