What it says on the tin. We are looking for new faces to help out with the inevitable explosion of activity before, during, and after the release of Part II. We don't have a hard number set on how many we will bring on, but rest assured it will be more than 0.

Being a mod here, for the most part, is pretty laidback. Occasionally we'll have stressful days, but we try and help each other as best we can to make this sub a fun, welcoming place for our members. We pride ourselves on our horizontal leadership — there is no "head mod" — and no decision is made without input and approval from all of us.

We do have a few rules and guidelines. The rules are things we are not willing to budge on, but the guidelines are more flexible in that you don't have to meet both, or even either, of them in order to still be considered. So without further ado, the rules:

You must love TLOU

I mean duh, right? Being that we're the largest community of TLOU fans on the internet, we are looking for people who want to keep the wheels greased out of genuine love for the game, not for the lame power trip.

You must be over 18

Apologies to our underage members :( We simply feel more comfortable dealing with other adults when it comes to running the sub.

You must be familiar with Discord, or willing to become familiar with it

Our Discord chat is where we do 100% of our admin communication, so you must be willing to become active (checking once a day minimum).

You must be okay with potentially being exposed to spoilers for TLOU Part II and/or any upcoming DLC (including leaks)

Kind of a shitty one, we know. But we intend to keep this sub up and running during release, which means that in order to moderate in a timely manner, you'll have to sift through posts that may spoil things for you.

Your account must be over 6 months old and have over 500 comment karma

This is simply for filtering out brand new accounts for security reasons.

Aaaaaand now for the guidelines:

You must be active on the subreddit

The reason we are putting this as a guideline instead of a rule is because "active" is entirely subjective. "Active" can mean commenting on every thread, or it could mean posting once a month. We'll judge this one on a case-by-case basis, but as long as you periodically contribute something, you should fall within the ranks. The main point of this guideline is to get candidates who participate and contribute to discussions on the sub.

You must have moderating experience on another subreddit

We are the most flexible about this one! Moderating experience is a plus, but it does not count against you at all if you have not moderated a sub before. We have and will accept people regardless of moderating experience.

So there you have it! If you feel like you're a good fit, head on over and fill out our application. We also added an optional feedback section where you guys can give us feedback on the subreddit, this mod hiring process, or anything else on your mind. We'll be accepting applications for the next two weeks to give everyone a chance to see this post.
