    I finally used my headphones while playing this game for the first time and it is legit nerve racking! Most horror games haven't even instilled this level of 'OH SHIT' in me, and I love it.

    I was looking up old theories from before the first game's realease... so funny

    I just realized how bad all our theories for Part II must sound to ND writers, so I wanted to check what players were thinking of the first game before it was released. It was so funny that every single theory I found was about how The Last of Us and Uncharted were connected. Here the ones I found:

    - Joel is old Nathan Drake: people thought he really looks like Nate and moves like him. They were actually saying that Joel was his real name, as we already know Nathan Drake isn't. People going with this theory really took Easter eggs for granted: the newspaper in Uncharted 3 stating scientists were struggling with a deadly fungus infection was the proof they needed to set both games in the same universe.

    - Same spirit, different timeline: Joel was in fact Drake's son or grandson.

    - Nathan Drake doomed the world: other theory stated that Nathan Drake caused the Outbreak during one of his adventures. We all know everything goes to shit every time he sets foot in a forgotten city, with supernatural stuff often happening. So one of those would be a fungus infection going free and causing the Outbreak.

    - Nolan North is the key: when people found out Nolan North was cast as David, they immediately assume he would be Nathan Drake surviving the apocalypse.

    - The crossover: there even was a theory that The Last of us was in fact a big crossover with Resident Evil. Proof: Ellie kind of looks like Jill Valentine and there are zombies in both games.

    Did you guys remember other theories from back in the days? I can't wait to look back at our theories for Part II and think "Thank god, the game is so much better as it is"...
